Entry is open to all.
Artwork submissions may be created in any fine arts medium. It should be original work and must not have been previously published or reproduced. The minimum dimension size shall be 12” in height. The artwork may not include any copyrighted images.
Artwork will be evaluated based on appropriateness for potential use as a poster, program cover and other publicity to advertise the 2020 Meeker Days Arts & Music Festival to be held June 19-21, 2020. The artwork will be used in portrait orientation. The image should reflect the theme for the year, “Discover our Story”.
All initial submissions will include a $20.00 entry fee (made payable to Puyallup Main Street Association) and an entry form. The due date will be February 14, 2020. For the first round of judging, digital photos of the artwork will be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org and will be reviewed by the staff at Puyallup Main Street Association. All work must be photographed at high resolution. Poor quality images will not be considered. The first round of review will result in up to five finalists. The committee will request that the finalists submit the original artwork for the final round of judging. The due date for the final round will be February 28, 2020. The decision will be on March 2, 2020 at our board of directors meeting.
The finalist will grant Puyallup Main Street Association the rights to use their image for promoting the 2019 Meeker Days Arts & Music Festival for one year.
The final selection will be made by the Puyallup Main Street Association Board of Directors and a representative from the sponsor of our Artists in Action area at the festival, if they would like.
The winning entry would receive $200.00 from Puyallup Main Street Association and promotion through our website, E-newsletter, and social media.
